This is the story of a dragon who doesn’t eat meat because he doesn’t want to cause pain and a knight who was willing to kill him but, in the end, all he managed to do was become his friend.
‘‘A book about the value of healthy eating’’
Kiki Mavromichali comes from Flogita, a beautiful place in Chalkidiki, in Northern Grece, with tall palm trees, deep blue sea and 330 days’ sunny sky. She studied Geology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and English at the British Council, from where she obtained a CEELT English teaching certificate. Since 1995 she has been teaching English to children and adults at the foreign language center she maintains in Flogita, while she spends her free time traveling in Greece and Europe with her partner and their two kids, Yiannis and Thodoris. Travelling to Krakow, Poland, they found out that the city has its own dragon guarding their castle. While they were visiting the Greek city of Ioannina, no matter how much they searched, they couldn’t find a dragon; just a mere castle, standing alone!
Kiki lives in a detached house with a large garden, full of flowers, trees and all kinds of vegetables. She loves in particular her rare orchids and cherry tomatoes. She also has a strong feeling that fairies party under the mulberry tree every night, but she has no proof yet. For several years she directed children’s plays both in Greek and English.
“The vegetarian dragon” is her first story.
